We are looking for an Account Manager at The Olive House, Standard Way Business Park, 30 Standard Way, Northallerton, DL6, United Kingdom. This is a fixed-term contract.

At Oleon, we bring you natural chemistry. Our specialty lies in converting natural fats and oils into a wide range of oleochemical products for various markets such as cosmetics, nutrition, crop protection, industrial ingredients, lubricants, oilfield, coatings, detergents, and many more. Oleon has over 1,000 employees worldwide in 10 different countries.

Some of your main duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage a range of Food & Nutrition (F&N) key customers and business critical accounts for the UK.
  • Understand & consistently review the relevant markets, recognising new commercial opportunities in the UK.
  • Quickly establish in-depth knowledge of the sector oils in the product range.
  • Proactively ensure growth by identifying new selling opportunities through range selling and telephone business reviews.
  • Maximise divisional profit margins utilising relationships with Commercial leads, Commercial team and Procurement.
  • Develop & maintain effective relationships with customers, ensuring they are well-briefed with market information.
  • Exceed sales targets, maximise margin & achieve agreed KPIs.
  • Participate in all sales meetings and development learning to maximise success.
  • Actively support Key Account Manager and National Account Manager where necessary.
  • Ensure optimisation of all resources available to sales force in the Division.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Finance, Operations & Technical Divisions & across the wider business.
  • Preparation & communication for monthly sales meeting and complete S&OP for Finance.
  • Ensure a high level of service is maintained at all times & respond to all enquiries in a timely & efficient manner.
  • Ensure cooperation with the Customer Service team on issue resolution for all customers.
  • Comply with all relevant operational, audit & trading guidelines.
  • Understand & assist in the implementation of the strategy for the F&N Oils Division.
  • Work with Head of Commercial to understand the credit risk inherent in the customer portfolio.

  • Promptly communicate to Manager & assist in investigating all relevant complaints, possible violations or irregularities, taking appropriate action where necessary.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing & distribution chain activities.
  • Action oriented & able to deal with multiple relationships effectively.

  • Excellent networking, interpersonal & relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of the regulated environment & compliance needs.
  • Enthusiasm to grow and progress in a new environment and to take on new challenges daily – with the full support of the commercial team.
