We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with gas qualifications for a mobile contract along the M4 corridor. Ideally located in West London, you would be responsible for sites from London to Bristol. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and professional Mechanical Maintenance Gas Engineer to join their maintenance team. Covering multiple sites across the South West of England, the successful candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance and repairs to plant equipment, helping keep our client’s operations running smoothly. Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems.
  • Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical and gas appliances, such as fan coil units, AHUs etc.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and company quality standards.
  • Install, service, and maintain boilers, heating systems, pipework, and associated mechanical plants.
  • Complete gas safety checks, certifications, and accurate job reporting.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to specification.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and colleagues.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • ACS-qualified gas engineer (domestic and/or commercial).
  • Proven experience within mechanical maintenance engineering and gas systems.
  • Strong knowledge of heating systems, pipe fitting, and mechanical plants.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work safely, efficiently, and professionally at all times.
