About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Temporary Document Controller to support our project and design teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys structure, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. You’ll play a key part in ensuring project documentation is controlled, compliant, and accessible to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Control & Administration
- Maintain and update project documentation across Viewpoint (CDE), R‑Drive, SmartWaste, and Work Wallet.
- Ensure all documents follow correct naming conventions and workflows.
- Upload, QA‑check, distribute, and archive drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Support tender submissions by collating and preparing documentation.
- Team & Project Support
- Provide daily administrative support to the Design Manager and wider project team.
- Assist with resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Front‑of‑House & Communication
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls (where required).
- Deliver a professional, friendly, and welcoming service.
- Office & Operational Support
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including Royal Mail online systems.
- Maintain tracking logs, registers, and databases.
- Order office stationery and supplies when needed.
- Coordinate diaries and meeting room bookings for senior staff.
- Additional Duties
- Support general office operations as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high standards of quality and service.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn.
