Industry experience within utilities, industrial, manufacturing, storage, factory, or heavy infrastructure environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed integrated project programmes using Primavera P6.
  • Analyse programme performance, critical path activities, progress trends, and project data to support informed decision-making.
  • Interrogate project information to identify schedule issues, dependencies, constraints, and delivery risks.
  • Challenge and influence Project Managers and site teams to ensure realistic, achievable, and robust project plans.
  • Lead planning and project controls activities across multiple workstreams or complex projects.
  • Produce accurate reporting, forecasting, progress analysis, and schedule recovery plans.
  • Identify, integrate, and mitigate programme and delivery risks through proactive planning strategies.
  • Ensure programme governance, controls, and reporting standards are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, commercial, and engineering teams to drive project performance and delivery outcomes.

Ideal Profile

  • Proven experience in a Senior Project Planner / Project Controls / Planning Controller role within construction or industrial project environments.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential).
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interrogate large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to challenge, influence, and push back constructively with Project Managers and delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, earned value, risk management, and programme reporting.
  • Experience in utilities, industrial, manufacturing, storage, factory, or similar complex delivery sectors preferred.
  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and delivery focused.
