Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced HR professional to help drive business results and increase colleague engagement. This will be achieved by partnering with business leaders and colleagues across the organisation to support the organisational people strategy/business plan. In conjunction with the business, the HR Business Partner will develop and implement strategic and operational plans based on insight, data and an understanding of what is possible from the external environment impacting all stages of the employee life cycle.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Strategic Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to achieve high levels of trust, respect and professionalism.
  • Advise and coach managers on how the people agenda may be 'worked' to deliver success.
  • Drive a culture of high performance where talent is recognised, stretched, and poor performance managed.
  • Challenge team cultures and behaviours to ensure that they are always consistent with organisational culture.
  • Carry out all day-to-day HR administration tasks, including employment offer letters, contract of employment creation & right to work in the UK checks.
  • Lead the business PDP program.
  • Carry out front-line HR related onsite training.
  • Join our onsite first-day induction team.
  • Be one step ahead in terms of understanding, data and insight to role model the highest levels of HR skill and professionalism.
  • Support all managers (and colleagues) on HR policies and practices that ensure fairness and expediency ensuring that those policies and practices are up to date and best practice.
  • Support managers in the effective staffing of their teams, ensuring inclusivity in how we recruit, how we develop and who we promote.
  • Develop an external network to be updated in terms of best practices within HR.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to support a 'one team' approach and challenge so that we may continuously improve to deliver the People Strategy and annual business plans.

  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry is an advantage.
  • A flexible coaching approach with the ability to adapt personal style to achieve stronger relationships and better business and people outcomes with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong IT and Administration Skills.

  • Ability to facilitate change.

Professional Experience:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified to level 5 or above or holding an equivalent qualification with a business management or HR focus.
  • Experience of operating as a generalist HR Business Partner or HR Adviser across all aspects of HR including learning and development, resourcing, employee relations, remuneration and benefits.
  • Have experience of working in a medium-sized organisation.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Up to date knowledge of good practice and emerging trends in the field of HR.
  • Experience of supporting the implementation of change initiatives, ideally within a rapidly growing or evolving business setting.
  • Numerically competent with proven experience producing quality management information with trend analysis aimed at stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Internal: Business Owner, Managing Director, Strategic Director, Technical Director, Projects & Engineering Director, Commercial Director, Head of Operations and their Leadership teams and sub-teams.
  • External: Third Party Professional HR Partner, Maintain and develop relationships with local Colleges, Universities and Training Providers.
