You embrace new trends, and harness new formats and distribution methods that amplify viewers and keep the conversations going. In this role, your primary client will be a major, global energy firm.
Who you are:
- Social-first thinker: You understand how audiences consume content today. You think both visually and narratively and can ideate and execute campaigns at pace.
- Creative and strategic: You’re excited about bringing original stories to life, ensuring every piece of copy, from a 5-word ad banner to a 5-page report, ladders up to the client’s strategic goals.
- A B2B translator: You pride yourself on your ability to break down technical subjects and make them accessible and engaging for your audience.
- Versatile and agile: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, seamlessly pivoting from creative copywriting to deep dive explainer content.
- Journalistic instincts: You have experience in or around publishing and know what makes a good story, how to write a great headline, and how to create a powerful hook.
What you’ll do:
- Social Content (both paid and organic): Ideate, write, and review social media campaigns.
- Video Content: Develop story ideas, develop questions, participate on shoots, script the final product and work with the video editor on the final film.
- Editorial Articles: Researching, ideating and writing editorial content – articles, explainers, whitepapers and more - turning complex subject matter into compelling stories.
- Executive Thought Leadership: Prepare and conduct interviews with SMEs. Draft articles, talking points and strategic messaging.
- Event content: Create tentpole content around key events – prepping questions, providing coverage, and developing films, articles, social content.
- Proofreading: Edit copy for grammar, style, structure, POV and accuracy.
- Trend watcher: Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and topic areas relevant to clients, with an aim to be ahead of the curve on innovative storytelling.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in B2B copywriting, journalism, or creating social-first editorial content (with a strong preference for experience in the energy sector).
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone of voice seamlessly from authoritative thought leadership to punchy marketing copy.
- Demonstrated experience in social-first campaigns, including multi-format multi-channels asset creation, and preferably digital display advertising.
- Experience in generating creative concepts and stories that bring B2B subject matter to life in interesting ways that drive audiences to act.
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working hand-in-hand with strategists, designers, video editors, and client services teams.
