Group Metropolitan was founded in 1985 as an electrical contractor carrying out small moves and changes projects for a select few clients. Over the past 35 years, we have grown into a turnkey Principal Contractor offering in-house tradespeople, with a projected turnover of £85m. About the role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll take ownership of stage 4 & 5 designing electrical systems that align with our client's vision. You'll be responsible for undertaking technical appraisals of existing buildings developing short and long term strategies specifying components, creating layouts, and ensuring seamless integration across services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assistance in the assessment of new works and fee submissions
- Develop and produce all necessary Electrical calculations and design solutions from briefing stage through to detailed design stage
- Monitor and assist with construction works as they progress on site in respect of compliance and high-quality standards set by the business
- Lead and run key testing and commissioning activities such as ISTs and Black Building Tests
- Provide technical support to the wider business

- Single Point of Failure Analysis (SPOF)
- Resiliency reviews
