About the role
Metropolitan BMS Services are currently seeking to recruit a BMS Engineer to work alongside our team of experienced BMS Service engineers. This role would ideally suit anyone that has experience in carrying out BMS Service as well as undertaking small works under their own initiative.

- Department: BMS Division
- Hours: 7am - 4pm
- Location: Cannons / Site Based
- Salary: DOE
Generally, the above hours will be flexible in line with the needs of the business. We operate a fair working policy but if any extended overtime is worked by agreement of your line manager, then overtime payment will be applicable.
Responsibilities
The role of BMS Engineer will require you to undertake daily the following responsibilities:
- Commissioning of small system
- Fault Finding & Diagnosing
- Point to point list
- Working closely with the Service Manager to develop software strategy and implementation
- Protocols used are Modbus, BACnet, Lon
- Working on multiple small / medium size projects
- Graphic modification
- Systems used are Tridium, Centraline, Distech and Trend
- Calibration of sensors & Valve actuators
- Liaising with clients & Site manager
Requirements
- To have a strong understanding of HVAC systems
- To have a strong understanding of BMS Strategy and pre-commission
- High level of Tridium, Trend and Centraline products
- Efficient with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- To have a strong understanding of other controls automation related equipment e.g. Variable frequency drives and a basic knowledge of relevant standards governing the controls automation industry is desirable
