We are looking for a research project manager to join the team responsible for the day-to-day development and management of our Panel products (Momentum and Audience Origin). The role will focus on supporting the delivery of Momentum research projects; this will include delivery of projects for new business pitches, local market and global client studies.
The candidate must have a solid research background, particularly in online quantitative research, in the following areas:
- Research project design including feasibility assessment, sample design, budgeting and vendor management
- Writing and reviewing questionnaires including screening & routing
- Experience of large-scale, multi-market research
We are looking for someone who is passionate about research and understands and quantifies consumer behaviour. They must enjoy managing projects, people, timelines and expectations - both within the team, local markets and our panel provider. This person must be highly numerate and completely at ease manipulating and making sense of raw data in Excel.
The research manager will report to the Senior Research Director, and mainly be responsible for managing Momentum research projects from start to finish, with opportunities to support other research projects within Panel Solutions. Specific responsibilities include:
- Handling research requests from local markets, and new business teams working with our research partner to agree costs and feasibility for studies.
- Managing communications between local GroupM offices, the global team and our recruitment partner.
- Overseeing each step of the research project process, to ensure no steps are missed and no queries are left unanswered.
- Monitoring the progress of projects and helping prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are always met.
The following will be essential for the right candidate:
- Extensive experience of developing and managing multi-country online quantitative research studies - from feasibility, to link-testing, through to data delivery.
- Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- An obsessive eye for detail.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and tactfully with people at every level of an organisation around the world.
- Someone who deals with pressure and tight deadlines with calm, good humour.
- Good at working independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Very proficient in Excel.
- Good at problem-solving - thinking up alternative solutions or more suitable approaches when the usual is not appropriate.
- Capable of managing others - an approachable attitude and the ability to teach others to continuously improve their work while remaining supportive and appreciative of efforts.
- Able to express themselves fluently and engagingly in spoken and written English.
