Role Summary and Impact
Data underpins every area of our business and the world of media. But with so much data at our fingertips, sometimes it can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. The Business Intelligence & Data Visualisation team have the exciting challenge of not only finding the needles but also identifying the best ones to analyse.
Managing the BI team, you will utilise your skills to remove the complexity and density of data to provide transformational & actionable insights for our clients. You will help to steer the team’s decisions around new product offerings and develop areas of expertise that best meet market demands and attract new customers.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a champion for engineering data and translate opportunities and implications to the business, while leading the BI team to develop bespoke data solutions to meet advanced BI specification.
- Oversee the team in delivering business intelligence & data visualisation to the highest standard.
- Be responsible for supporting and monitoring the performance, training and development of junior members of the team.
- Take an active role in driving revenue through the increased adoption of our BI product suite.
- Actively seek out new trends, industry news/updates and product launches and work with the wider AIMs team to develop new, innovative products.
- Maintain an expert understanding of digital advertising and ad serving technology (e.g. ad serving, vendor ad servers, web analytics, attribution, etc.) and gain advanced accreditation where relevant.
- Have a expert understanding and where required support/train internal & external users with all visualisation tools available at WM (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio, Omniscope , etc ) and Google Cloud Platform.
- Have a level of competency in using SQL, Python/R or other statistical programming language.
