Summary

This role is crucial to delivering class‑leading processes to the Lotus business.

You will provide technical expertise and support for the management of issues, ensuring that problems are never repeated.

Your primary responsibility is to manage the overall status of product‑related issues across new model projects and current production, liaison with issue owners for swift resolution, provide oversight on the issue management process, support issue owners with queries, and drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned from historical issues to early stages of the vehicle development lifecycle.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Champion the Lotus issues management processes to ensure problems are resolved methodically and robustly.
  • Collaborate with engineers across all departments to address complex technical challenges.
  • Own and maintain a database of lessons learned from historical projects, ensuring lessons learned are captured as part of the issue management process.
  • Prevent recurrence of known issues by reviewing lessons learned with key stakeholders in design, engineering, quality and manufacturing to ensure they are embedded into future work.
  • Act as a technical liaison between different departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop, maintain and present KPIs to provide insights for project teams and senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements.
  • Become the technical lead for the Lotus issues management system, supporting users with technical challenges, identifying system‑based improvements and coordinating with the IT team to implement any necessary changes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with DFMEA and PFMEA throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of leading the resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with engineers, production teams, quality assurance and other relevant departments.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and production processes in the automotive sector.
  • Self‑starter, able to work under own initiative; must possess ‘presence’, be assertive, articulate and logical to have high credibility with manufacturing environments and senior management; capable of operating under pressure and demonstrating a proactive approach.
