Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Chief Engineer Calibration and Controls in the ICE Calibration & Controls department, to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary: To be responsible for all Calibration and software development work for Lotus Cars. This means achieving all performance, emissions, fuel efficiency, durability, quality and timing targets for all the Product and Engineering powertrain activities, and support the other divisions e.g. purchasing, manufacturing, quality etc. as required, to ensure the high quality of all Lotus products and third party projects.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure the releases of Powertrain software and calibrations are in time and within the performance, durability, fuel efficiency and emissions specifications.
- Support homologation activities.
- Support R&D activities.
- Ensure the technical operation of Powertrain Calibration work within the overall programme requirements.
- Implement the Lotus Cars Product Introduction Plan.
What You'll Bring:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Wide spread Powertrain controls and calibration knowledge in R&D and production on multi cylinder engines and hybrid systems.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver Software and calibration projects, from concept to production.
- Understand calibration techniques, functional safety and global homologation requirements (OBD / AES/BES, emissions requirements etc.)
- Direct experience in vehicle calibration and controls.
