The Role

We are seeking an experienced Group Infrastructure Engineer to join our Group Infrastructure Team during an exciting period of international growth.

As a key member of the team, you will play a central role in delivering robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure services across Outcomes First Group’s expanding international estate. You will support, maintain, and enhance on-premises, cloud, and network platforms across multiple global regions, ensuring systems remain resilient, standardised, and fit for purpose.

This role is ideal for an infrastructure professional with strong Microsoft, cloud, and networking expertise who thrives in a complex, multi-region environment and enjoys contributing to large-scale infrastructure and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in the implementation of Group-wide platforms and technologies that underpin a multi-region corporate network infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of on-premises and cloud platforms supporting internal business functions across UK and international locations.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate escalated infrastructure issues impacting operations across multiple regions.
  • Provide technical direction when working with international partners, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Lead and assist with planning and implementing new or expanded network environments for international offices, schools, or acquisitions.
  • Act as a primary technical contact for Group suppliers, ensuring consistent standards are applied globally.
  • Manage and monitor global server infrastructures primarily based on Microsoft and Hyper-V technologies.
  • Oversee the configuration and monitoring of international network infrastructure utilising Meraki, Ubiquiti, and other enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Manage and optimise the Group’s WAN across multiple countries, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity between regions.
  • Support the setup, consolidation, and enhancement of Microsoft 365 tenants across international entities, including cross-tenant collaboration and standardisation.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for multi-region infrastructure solutions and procedures.
  • Mentor and support colleagues across different regions, promoting knowledge sharing and consistent best practices.
  • Ensure all activities follow Group change management, approval, and compliance processes.
  • Manage Group-wide infrastructure licensing and assets, including international usage.
  • Support the Group and its security team in strengthening cyber security posture across all operating regions.
  • Contribute to special projects and international technology initiatives as required.
  • Experience & Skills

    Essential:

  • Proven experience supporting Windows Server environments and Windows 10/11.
  • Strong background in managing Azure Active Directory in multi-site or multi-region environments.
  • Extensive experience managing Microsoft 365 services including Exchange and SharePoint.
  • Expertise in Entra ID and Intune-managed solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise firewall technologies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking including VLANs, routing, switching, and IP addressing.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of LAN and WAN technologies across geographically dispersed sites.
  • Experience managing Apple devices at scale.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a 3rd line or Infrastructure Engineer role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with international stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage demanding workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Desirable:

  • Experience supporting international offices or multi-region environments.
  • Experience with JAMF MDM.
  • Cisco Meraki experience, particularly in international deployments.
  • Azure infrastructure experience.
