About this role
- Partner with the business to support the delivery of our operational and people plans.
- GTI is supported in all aspects of People and HR.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to management on best practice when dealing with employee relation issues.
- Support the Head of People and HR on more complex employee relation issues.
- Assist with the development of people policies and procedures and identify ways to make improvements.
- Manage all data, reporting and insights for quarterly performance reviews and company surveys processes.
- Take an active part in HR projects.
- Be ready for any unplanned events.
- The HR and People team is recognised as a valued function within the business.
- Support in continuing to create a channel of communication and information flow to understand requirements from the business.
- Proactively respond to requests in a timely manner and escalate where necessary to the Head of People and HR.
- Provide support and assist with third-party relationships – Recruitment Agencies, Benefit providers, Facilities Management.
- HR processes and procedures are effective, efficient, and adopted by all.
- Support the full employee lifecycle from the initial hiring stage to offboarding.
- Ensure a successful hiring and onboarding journey for all new starters.
- Create and continuously maintain people records.
- Ensure background screening is completed for all new starters and current team members.
- Manage EOR team members and contractors.
- Produce up to date documentation which complies with current legislation.
- Support in the accurate processing of pay and benefits.
- HR Platforms are regularly maintained, accurate and continuously developed.
- Promote the HRIS, ATS and LMS internally.
- Ensure the HR platform is current and up to date.
- Be innovative in creating a better user journey.
- Continue to champion the GTI culture and values through the platforms.
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing is compliant and effectively embedded into GTI.
- Organise and manage first aid, fire and mental health and wellbeing support for the team.
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are accurate and up to date.
- Raise H&S concerns with the relevant parties i.e., Howbery Park.
- Consult with the relevant parties on facilities maintenance.
- Office locations are a safe and dynamic environment.
- Manage facilities management for the office locations.
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, facilities management, and other parties.
- Promote a positive office culture and experience.
- All company events and socials are successfully organised and delivered.
- Support with the twice-yearly retreats.
- Support local office events.
Person Specification
- Someone with a confident and professional manner with the ability to communicate at all levels and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- A person who is self-motivated, proactive and takes ownership.
Work Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Proven HR administration experience.
- Previous generalist HR experience.
- Previous experience of HR platforms.
- Good knowledge of employment law.
- Good knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to work using own initiative and be able to prioritise.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of IT applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of producing accurate data reporting.
- Experience of dealing with confidential information.
- Experience of taking notes/minutes at meetings.
- Previous experience of payroll systems/processes.
Other Information
- Permanent role – 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm.
- 3-month probationary period.
