This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Parts Advisor apprentice. Our Parts Advisors drive sales of parts and accessories and liaise with the workshop team to ensure that they have the parts they need to work effectively. This is a varied role where you will gain the life and technical skills to build your career with us. The Parts Department is at the heart of our operations. Our Parts Advisors are responsible for the stock control of a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories, including the ordering, selling and managing of stock to ensure that we meet the needs of our trade counter customers and guarantee that the workshop team have the parts and accessories that they need to complete their daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to customers who are having problems with their vehicles.
  • Take sales orders from customers both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
  • Stock control for vehicle parts and accessories.
  • Maintain an ordered stock room.
  • Raise invoices for parts sold.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure the correct stock is placed at the right time.
  • Use appropriate verbal and non‑verbal communication skills and summarising language during face‑to‑face communications.
  • Use appropriate communication skills and reinforcement techniques during non‑facing customer interactions.
  • Use an appropriate tone of voice in all communications, including written and digital, that reflects the organisation\’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial.
  • Organise your own workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer\’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign‑posting or resolution to meet customers\’ needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Training and Development

The apprenticeship will be delivered using a combination of virtual classroom remote learning and face‑to‑face block release weeks at our state‑of‑the‑art training centre. You will receive a full round of training that includes e‑learning, classroom learning and practical application. Upon successful completion of the one‑year programme you will receive:

  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Standard.
  • Brand‑specific certifications.

Apprenticeship Details

Start date: Friday 12 December 2025
Duration: 1 year
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30, with possibility of Saturday or shift work.
Salary: £15,704 for the first year, increasing based on age and National Minimum Wage rates for apprentices.
