The role of a Retail (Parts) Advisor Apprentice is diverse. You’ll be working both behind the scenes receiving deliveries and at the front desk serving customers. You’ll learn skills in managing stock, merchandising, forecasting and analysing purchasing habits, as well as developing your ability to retain customers and increase market saturation. Initially working towards a Level 2 Retailer Apprenticeship you will learn the key principles, practices and skills that underpin the role.
Some of the day-to-day duties include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers both in person and over the phone
- Developing relationships with other departments
- Preparing orders
- Stock Control/ Management
- Processing Warranty Claims and Payments
- Identifying Parts
- Marketing and Visual Merchandising
- Managing logistics including organising and arranging deliveries
We can teach you all the points above, but ultimately, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our team and embark on an exciting career. You’ll have excellent earning and progression opportunities available to you upon completing your apprenticeship – a fully qualified Parts advisor!
Training will be delivered using a combination of virtual classroom remote learning and face-to-face block release weeks at our state-of-the-art training centres. Our expert trainers will guide you through the training programme using a combination of e-learning, classroom learning and practical application. In the workplace, your personal, dedicated mentor will support your continued learning as you apply the skills and knowledge you have gained through the remote sessions and at the National Learning Centre. This is a fully rounded training experience where you will build life skills that last and gain both Apprenticeship qualifications and brand certifications.
On successful completion of this 15-17 months programme, dependent on the brand you work with, you will receive the following: Level 2 Retailer Standard.
