Role Description
This full-time Automotive Technician role is based on-site at our Norwich location.
The Automotive Technician will perform routine servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicles, following manufacturer standards and safety guidelines.
Daily tasks include diagnosing faults, carrying out maintenance work, completing oil changes, checking suspension components, and ensuring all repair documentation is accurate and up to date.
The role involves working closely with service advisors and parts teams to plan repair work and communicate clearly about vehicle status and required actions.
The Automotive Technician will also contribute to maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and general Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to perform scheduled servicing and inspections to manufacturer standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in Oil Changes and fluid services, including correct use of tools, equipment, and workshop procedures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Automotive Repair and fault diagnosis, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems relevant to modern vehicles.
- Candidates should possess skills in Suspension inspection and repair, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance requirements.
- Automotive technical qualifications (e. g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) and experience in a franchised or independent workshop are beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow technical procedures, and commitment to health and safety standards are essential.
- Good communication skills, ability to work both independently and within a team, and a customer-focused approach are highly valued.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive different vehicle types are beneficial.
