We are looking to hire an Inspections Coordinator in Bristow, VA. The role involves compiling data and paperwork to assist in processing local (building, zoning, planning) permits & approvals, as well as State/Federal Environmental (ACOE, DOE & DOT) permit applications/approvals. The position works closely with the Production and Sales teams to identify necessary permits and approvals, and is responsible for planning, delivering, managing, and coordinating project permits/approvals. The Permit Coordinator should be knowledgeable of, and able to investigate and interpret, various local, state, and federal permits and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead communications and work scope with local, county, state, and federal authorities for project permit and regulatory reviews and approvals.
- Manage the permitting process for assigned projects, including preparing required permits, revising applications, submitting and tracking permit packages, and monitoring approval stages.
- Coordinate inspections to close out open permits.
- Perform research, update filing requirements, and maintain a database of critical jurisdictional decision makers.
- Stay informed of changing regulations and notify staff accordingly.
- Work with local project permitting expeditors.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining organization of documents.
- Follow up with clients and project teams on approval requirements.
- Assist in expediting project approvals and closing expired permits.
- Perform tasks related to Material Handling and Installation Coordination as needed, including using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Serve as safety coordinator for the branch.
- Assist in resolving administrative problems.
- Perform other tasks as needed by the business.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- At least one year of experience in customer service and/or project management, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating proven capabilities.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Reliable on-site attendance.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
- Valid driver's license.
