Overview

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and supportive Senior Youth & Play Worker to join our friendly team. You\\\’ll help deliver a range of inclusive, free and high-quality play and youth activities for children, young people and families. In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of adventure play and youth sessions.
  • Supervise and motivate staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure sessions are safe, inclusive and engaging.
  • Build positive relationships with children, young people and families.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of The Vench, maintaining high standards of safety and wellbeing.
  • Experience working with children and young people in a play or youth work setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A passion for inclusive, community-based play and youth work.
  • The ability to create a safe, fun and supportive environment for all.

For over 50 years, The Vench has been a much-loved adventure playground and community centre at the heart of Lockleaze. We provide a safe, vibrant, and inclusive space where children and young people can play, learn, and grow.
