We have an exciting opportunity within our Route2Work College. Our Learning & Tutor Support Officer will support young people (aged 16-24) with learning difficulties and disabilities by working one-to-one or in small groups to help them achieve qualifications, develop life skills, and build independence.
Job Purpose
We are seeking someone who is confident in supporting and empowering young people with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their individual learning goals, develop independence and progress towards positive future outcomes. This role focuses on enabling learners aged 16-24 to gain accredited qualifications, develop independence, build emotional resilience and prepare for future opportunities through tailored support in both individual and small group settings.
Working alongside tutors, the postholder will help create a safe, engaging and supportive environment across classroom, vocational and community-based learning activities while promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes for all learners.
