The Groundwork London Employment and Skills teams support unemployed Londoners to progress into work across the capital. Our teams of Employment Advisors and Trainers work with clients to identify their employment aspirations and overcome the barriers to securing those goals.
Groundwork has a long and exceptional track record in developing and delivering programmes of this similar nature to Youth Jobs Guarantee. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to change the lives of hundreds of young unemployed Londoners.
Job Purpose
Groundwork has secured contracts to deliver the Youth Jobs Guarantee in Central and North London. Through the contracts, we will place and contribute to the wages of circa 1000 previously long term unemployed young people over the next 18 months. Your role will be to support the Employment Liaison Manager to secure placements into which our Employment Advisors will place the participants. The range of placements secured must meet the needs and aspirations of the young people who will join the programme.
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated person with experience of building strong relationships with employers.
The post holder will have a proven track record in engaging employers and securing the volume and type of vacancies our young job seekers are looking for. You will be able to work with employers: to ensure they understand and meet the requirements of the programme: to support them to create roles that our participants will be able to secure and thrive in; to utilise the programme’s MIS to share the details of these vacancies with the wider team.
This contract goes live from 23rd November 2026, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to commence in post on or as near this date as possible.
