The predicted salary is between 12 - 17 £ per hour.
Location: Schools across the borough of Southwark
Contract: Fixed term contract until September 2026
Salary: £14.80
Hours: 18 - 24 hours per week – The hours will be a combination of daytime, afternoon and evening activities during the week and weekends.
Additional Information: In order to apply for this role, you must be aged between 16 and 25, live, work or study in Southwark and be available for training, which will require an overnight stay from 15th to 17th February at one of Groundwork’s residential sites.
Groundwork’s Youth Team is seeking Young Researchers to be part of a dynamic team to help us find what young people want and need in Southwark. No experience or qualifications are needed; you will be trained, supported and guided the whole way. What matters most is that you have a can-do attitude, care about young people, youth voice, are happy to talk and listen, and want to help make things better for young people in Southwark.
Responsibilities:
- Understand what young people really think about existing provision for young people and the future of youth services, especially those whose voices are not always heard.
- Help improve how the council and organisations work with and support young people.
- Help ensure young people help shape decisions that affect their lives.
Young Researchers are at the heart of this work. You’ll be part of a team of young adults who:
- Talk to other young people about their experiences.
- Share what’s working and what needs to change.
- Help design better ways for young people to have a real say.
