Waltham Forest Giving (WFG) is an emerging place-based giving scheme that puts local communities at the heart of decision-making about resources and priorities in Waltham Forest. Guided by a steering group of local residents and working in close partnership with the CVS, council, and key voluntary sector organisations, WFG directly responds to what matters most to people in the borough.
We are at an exciting inflection point. Having established WFG and reputation as a champion of local voices, we are now looking for a creative, strategic thinker to take WFG to the next level, cementing its position as a key infrastructure organisation, building sustainability, and futureproofing WFG’s impact.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a dynamic, place-based movement that brings new resources to Waltham Forest, amplifies marginalised voices, strengthens community infrastructure through capacity building, training and grant giving, and creates lasting change in partnership with residents and organisations across the borough.
Qualifications
- Experience in the coordination and management of complex work programmes.
- Excellent networking and liaison skills, including developing and maintaining high-level partnerships and working at a strategic level.
- Experienced fundraiser from statutory, corporate and grant/charitable foundations.
- Skilled/experienced trainer to build capacity in income generation and related topics.
- Able to work strategically and harness new opportunities.
- Experience living and/or working in the London Borough of Waltham Forest is desirable.
