Do you have basic plumbing or handyman skills? In this role you’ll help Londoners save water and money. You’ll need to be customer focused, target driven and provide excellent customer service. London and the Thames Valley have been designated as areas of ‘Severe Water Stress’ by the UK Government and, as such, it is vital that we use water more wisely and learn to save water for future generations.

Working in partnership with Thames Water, we offer Smarter Home Visits to customers in the London and Thames Valley regions. These visits consist of attending customer homes, giving advice on water saving and offering to supply and fit free water saving devices. Owning to specific needs of the programme, we are seeking people who will be delivering home visits working in and around the South West and West side of London and Croydon areas. This role involves vocational driving and the ability to be reasonably insured on our vehicle policy.

Groundwork London is a social and environmental regeneration charity, working with partners to build sustainable communities where individuals and enterprise prosper. This position is an exciting opportunity to work in a key role in the delivery of our partnership programme with Thames Water.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver home visits as part of the Smarter Home Visits programme in London and Thames Valley regions.
  • Provide advice on water saving and offer to supply and fit free water saving devices.
  • Engage with customers in a professional, customer-focused manner and meet service targets.
  • Drive a vehicle as required and ensure appropriate insurance on our vehicle policy.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Basic plumbing or handyman skills preferred.
  • Customer-focused attitude with good communication and service orientation.
  • Ability to work on a mobile delivery programme in and around London, Croydon and surrounding areas.
  • Willingness to participate in a DBS basic check where applicable.
  • Vocational driving ability and acceptable insurance level on company vehicle policy.
