Job Description

Job Title: Nature Based Solutions (Habitat) Monitoring Officer\\nReports To: Programme Manager\\nLocation: North-East-wide, office base options include: Pegswood NE61, Sunderland SR1 or Middlesbrough TS5 + Some home working and onsite as required\\nSalary: £25,539 – £28,330 per annum, pro-rata\\nHours: Minimum 30 hours per week – 12 Month Fixed term\\n\\nAbout us\\n\\nGroundwork aims to be the UK’s leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work. As an organisation, we are proud of the effective role that our Community Project Managers play in delivering significant social, environmental and health outcomes with communities across the region.\\n\\nAbout the role\\n\\nThe post holder will perform a dual role within the Wansbeck Restoration for Climate Change and Revitalising our Estuaries Programme (RoE) Project team.

The RoE project currently aims to protect and enhance six of the estuaries in the North East.\\n\\nWe are looking for someone with an interest in the environment and project management, fieldwork and recording/surveying. Knowledge of the area, river estuaries or habitat creation is beneficial.\\n\\nThe role will carry out field work using established procedures and protocols for monitoring the interventions installed at project sites, including recording, collation and evaluation of the data. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to establish the social impact of key projects.
