Groundswell is unlocking value and efficiency through sustainability – we call it the third wave. The first wave: Sustainability was seen as separate from business. A few companies embedded it because they understood its value. The second wave: Regulators, consumers, and investors forced it onto the agenda. This created a whole new industry, but sustainability became siloed from the wider business. The third wave: Companies are now realising that sustainability is simply part of doing good business – moving it from a siloed function to a firm-wide capability.
We spun out of Octopus Group in 2025, where our founding team built and led the Impact and Sustainability function. The Role
We are looking for a Sustainability Manager to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of sustainability strategies across a portfolio of clients from our central hub. This role is suited to someone with 3–5 years’ experience spanning sustainability and finance, with the analytical skills and interpersonal presence to operate confidently across both. You’ll start at Groundswell HQ, working closely with our Client Partners to deliver high-quality work – with the expectation and hope that you’ll progress to being client-facing quickly as you grow with us. We’re looking for someone who is hard-working, great with people, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment and want to learn quickly, this is the role for you.
