Join us, we’re an Investors in People Gold Standard Company, and this is your opportunity to make your mark in a growing organisation that needs future focused L&D.

We have an exciting opportunity for a strong and enthusiastic L&D professional to join us and help change the face of Learning at Ground Control!

You will become a key member of our L&D team delivering newly designed, modern blended learning materials, bespoke materials, and programmes to a hungry audience. You’ll look after the delivery of your own programmes, play a part in the research, and help to design all our content. You’ll learn to develop your design skills by partnering with our eLearning Manager for new materials, Bitesize guides and manage an online social learning platform keeping our learners engaged.

The main part of your role is life skills, management development and bespoke upskilling sessions, both virtual and face to face around the UK. The primary delivery method is always virtual though, so you’ll need great screen presence, strong Wi-Fi and some cheeky banter.

You’ll support the L&D Partner in delivery and providing development solutions for all our divisions and departments and you will also get to assist in the delivery of our early Leadership programme to help you grow and learn too.

You’ll be well organised and pay attention to detail and feel comfortable to challenge the status quo and come up with some clever ideas to make learning stick too.

You’ll also be looking after induction with the L&D Partner and helping our new hires to have the best experience as they start with us.

The role you play will truly be critical to the entire business and perfect for someone looking to get tons of delivery experience to truly become a master of what you do, whilst also designing, evaluating and getting creative. Theres many (many) years of experience in the team, all waiting to be shared with you.

We are happy to help you study professionally too and once you’ve passed probation can get fully funded CIPD Qualifications to add another string to your L&D bow.

Who are we looking for?

Outgoing, confident, and energetic you will be someone with experience in L&D delivery likely in a regional trainer, training associate type role right now. You’ll need to help us to keep a modern learning culture across our business alive and help bring learning to different audiences with varying needs.

You’ll be flexible, innovative, and willing to work hard but with a solid purpose every day. You can be based anywhere in the UK, but you’ll need super strong Wi-Fi to be effective! You’ll often be working from home, or one of our offices or a venue somewhere in the UK. Once you are fighting fit and raring to go you’ll often spend a night away in the week

As any business in growth will ask, your resilience levels will need to be high. You’ll report to our L&D Partner who will guide, nurture, and develop you every step of the way as you help bring the L&D vision to life.

We’d love to help you build your current & future skills, but you’ll need to already have a good experience of delivery in a fast-paced organisation and must be a dab hand at delivering engaging sessions via webinars and face to face with both small and large audiences.

The L&D team is fun, passionate and love what they do, so you’ll need to show those same qualities to hit the ground running and help them smash their goals. We all work hard to maintain Psychological Safety which we’ve developed over the last couple of years.

You’ll be focused on the below:

  • Delivery of life skills, management skills and bespoke sessions

  • Embedding modern learning techniques across all delivery

  • Support on the design and delivery of a new leadership programme

  • Helping to run a group mentor and coaching programme

  • Creating fun and engaging bitesize on demand content

  • Making induction a memorable experience

  • Working on bespoke learning requests from the business

  • Evaluation of programmes to prove ROI

  • Communicating, selling and landing our offer across the business
