About The Role
We are recruiting for a Senior Associate (Business Management) to assist on the management of a small portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring their bookkeeping, management reporting, statutory accounts and any ad-hoc tasks are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis
Overview Of Duties
- Assisting on the management of a small portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring their bookkeeping, management reporting, statutory accounts and any ad-hoc tasks are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis
- Preparation of management accounts and reports
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Working with the client managers to understand the client’s requirements and identifying areas where more detailed advice may be required
- Identify opportunities for any additional services that clients may need and liaise with subject specialists
- Supporting junior members of staff with their role, especially with more complex compliance requirements
- Review of work completed by junior members of staff, including but not limited to bookkeeping, management reporting, statutory accounts, VAT returns etc
- Preparation of billing proposals

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Committed to maintaining technical knowledge to a high level
- Competent using MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Self-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios
- Good people and communication skills (including telephone manner)
- Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
- Sales invoicing and credit control experience preferable
- Exposure to billing and understanding of commerciality
Education / And Or Experience
- Competent using Xero and accounting software such as Iris or similar
- Cashflow forecasting, tax management and budgetary control experience preferable
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- ICAEW/ ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or qualified by experience
