Responsibilities:

  • Accounts preparation for limited companies
  • Preparation of consolidated accounts for small & medium groups
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns
  • Preparation of management figures
  • Liaising with clients as necessary with a view to becoming a Supervisor
  • Prepare own immediate work schedules and plans / develop daily work plans
  • Supporting less experienced staff with work
  • Supporting managers as required
  • Dealing with external auditor queries
  • General assistance with ad‑hoc projects (valuations, due diligence, forensic work etc)

Attributes, Requirements, Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years practice experience
  • Have a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) or working towards it
  • Committed to maintaining their technical knowledge to a high level
  • Competent using MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience of Iris, Alpha, Quickbooks and Sage 50 would be preferable
  • Have a good awareness of technology in general
  • Self‑motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios
  • Good people and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and research skills
