Work with clients in sport, film, entertainment and international business. Start your career in a specialist accountancy, tax & business management firm. We are looking for ambitious graduates to join our Accounts team and build a career supporting clients across the sport, film, entertainment and high net worth sectors.

Ground Control Business Management is not a typical accountancy firm. We operate as a business management and financial concierge service, supporting clients with complex financial, accounting and lifestyle needs at every stage of their careers. Our clients include internationally recognised individuals, entertainers, professional athletes, executives and business owners, often operating across multiple jurisdictions. This creates a unique and dynamic working environment, where no two client situations are the same.

If you are looking for a role that combines technical accounting expertise with real world application in high profile industries, this is an opportunity to build a highly specialised and valuable career.

The Opportunity

  • Work on a diverse portfolio of clients across sport, entertainment and international business
  • Support the preparation of year end financial statements and corporate reporting
  • Assist with management accounts, financial analysis and compliance work
  • Gain exposure to complex client structures and financial environments
  • Develop the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-specialist clients
  • Build commercial awareness by understanding how financial information supports real world decisions

You will be given early responsibility and encouraged to actively contribute, rather than simply observe.

Why This Role is Different

This is not a traditional graduate role focused only on compliance work. At Ground Control, you will be:

  • Working with high-performing individuals and dynamic industries
  • Developing skills in both accountancy and broader business management
  • Gaining exposure to international and high-net-worth client work
  • Building relationships and contributing to client outcomes from an early stage

You will learn how accounting and financial reporting fit within a wider commercial and personal financial strategy, giving you a broader and more valuable skillset than a typical accountancy pathway.

What We’re Looking For

We are interested in graduates from all degree backgrounds. You do not need a finance degree, we value individuals who can think critically, communicate clearly, and approach problems logically.

  • Degree (2:1 or above) in any discipline
  • Strong GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What Makes a Strong Candidate

We are particularly interested in individuals who:

  • Think logically and apply common sense to problem-solving
  • Are naturally inquisitive and confident asking questions
  • Can explain complex ideas in a clear and simple way
  • Take ownership of their work and push themselves further
  • Work collaboratively and contribute to team success
  • Are motivated to build a long-term career in accountancy and advisory

Training & Development

  • Fully funded ACA / ACCA qualification
  • Structured CPD programme supported by experienced professionals
  • Ongoing coaching and exposure to technical experts and leadership
  • Clear progression pathway based on performance

This role requires commitment, including study outside of working hours, but offers significant long-term career opportunities.

Salary & Benefits

  • Working hours: 37.15 hours per week
  • Hybrid working: 1 day from home (role dependent)
  • Benefits include 23 days holiday plus public holidays (increasing to 26 with service)
  • Pension contributions above statutory minimum
  • Free parking

Progression

Salary increases linked to exam success and progression.

  • Gain exposure to complex, real world financial and commercial challenges
  • Be part of a collaborative, supportive team culture
  • Build a career in a specialist and growing global business
  • Develop skills that go beyond traditional accountancy roles

Your progression will be driven by your own ambition and commitment, supported by a business that invests heavily in its people.
