The Housekeeping Assistant plays an important role within the housekeeping team, supporting the Housekeeper and Deputy Housekeeper in maintaining the estate to an exceptional standard. The role suits someone who is reliable, discreet and conscientious, with a strong eye for detail and genuine pride in creating beautifully presented, welcoming spaces. Working as part of a large and supportive team, the Housekeeping Assistant will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of housekeeping operations and respond flexibly to changing requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Daily housekeeping and presentation
- Carry out daily and periodic cleaning duties with excellent attention to detail and pride in the finished result.
- Prepare guest accommodation, bedrooms, bathrooms and shared areas so that they are beautifully presented and ready for use.
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, care and presentation throughout.
- Complete tasks carefully, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Identify and raise any issues promptly with the Housekeeper or Deputy Housekeeper.
- Guest service
- Provide a warm, discreet and professional service to guests.
- Help create welcoming, comfortable and beautifully presented spaces.
- Assist with guest requirements, pets, calls and other support duties as required.
- Maintain the highest standards of discretion, confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Teamwork and housekeeping support
- Work closely with the Housekeeper, Deputy Housekeeper and wider housekeeping team, following direction carefully and positively.
- Support larger cleaning projects and seasonal deep cleans as part of the wider team.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues across the estate to help create a professional, organised and supportive working environment.
- Respond positively and flexibly to changing priorities and guest needs.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
- Safety, security and compliance
- Comply with company policies, confidentiality requirements, security procedures and relevant legislation.
- Follow all health and safety requirements, taking responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
- Use equipment, products and working practices safely and appropriately.
- Undertake training as directed and apply learning consistently within the role.
