About the Role

Are you an organised administrative professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with people? We are partnering with a leading business in the Garswood area to recruit a Senior Human Resources Administrator for a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this fast-paced and varied role, you will be the backbone of the HR department. You will manage the day-to-day essentials of the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth data transmission across the business, keeping systems up to date, and acting as a helpful first point of contact for employee and manager queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbox & Query Management: Monitor the daily HR inbox, acting as a supportive conduit for internal queries and directing them to relevant functions when required.
  • System Maintenance: Process employee record changes and maintain the HR system to ensure legal compliance and accurate data.
  • Compliance & Audits: Conduct monthly compliance audits regarding Right to Work documents and job-specific qualifications.
  • Onboarding & Contracts: Prepare, issue, and track onboarding paperwork, statutory forms, and signed employment contracts to ensure a consistent start for all newcomers.
  • Team Support: Support broader HR functions with administrative tasks, including job offers, exit interviews, note taking in investigation meetings and ad-hoc projects.

What We Are Looking For

The department has undergone some recent changes and this will require someone able to hit the ground running, in a very fast paced business. The ideal candidate will be a pragmatist, able to work with minimal supervision, helping to manage the busy workload and not be precious about getting involved.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 24 months of HR admin experience.
  • Strong administrative and Microsoft Office skills, with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-facing approach.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • A true team player who genuinely enjoys working with people and has a flexible, willing attitude to learn.

Preferred (Highly Desirable):

  • Previous experience working with the Bamboo HR system.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or currently working towards it).
  • Experience working within the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors.
