About the Role
Are you an organised administrative professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with people? We are partnering with a leading business in the Garswood area to recruit a Senior Human Resources Administrator for a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this fast-paced and varied role, you will be the backbone of the HR department. You will manage the day-to-day essentials of the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth data transmission across the business, keeping systems up to date, and acting as a helpful first point of contact for employee and manager queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbox & Query Management: Monitor the daily HR inbox, acting as a supportive conduit for internal queries and directing them to relevant functions when required.
- System Maintenance: Process employee record changes and maintain the HR system to ensure legal compliance and accurate data.
- Compliance & Audits: Conduct monthly compliance audits regarding Right to Work documents and job-specific qualifications.
- Onboarding & Contracts: Prepare, issue, and track onboarding paperwork, statutory forms, and signed employment contracts to ensure a consistent start for all newcomers.
- Team Support: Support broader HR functions with administrative tasks, including job offers, exit interviews, note taking in investigation meetings and ad-hoc projects.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 24 months of HR admin experience.
- Strong administrative and Microsoft Office skills, with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-facing approach.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
- A true team player who genuinely enjoys working with people and has a flexible, willing attitude to learn.
Preferred (Highly Desirable):
- Previous experience working with the Bamboo HR system.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or currently working towards it).
- Experience working within the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors.
