Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Finance Supervisor to join our Finance team at Grosvenor House Suites!
As the Finance Supervisor you will work alongside the Cluster Director of Finance and the Assistant Director of Finance to ensure a smooth running and day to day operation of the Finance Office.To further assist the Assistant Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the finance and accounting function for the hotel, to ensure that all company Policies and Procedures are observed, financial reports are submitted accurately and on time in compliance with statutory requirements, enforcing both internal controls and external audit requirements.
Your main duties will include (but not limited to):
Preparation of bank reconciliation of all Grosvenor House Apartments Ltd. bank accounts
Assist with month end closing functions including preparation of accruals, prepayments and other required journal entries as assigned
Reconcile clearing accounts during month end closing to ensure accurate recording into general ledger
Prepare monthly reconciliation for purchases of operating equipment vs. budget and accruals.
Ensure all journals, reconciliations, and related financial reports are filed for future reference and are signed by preparer and authorised by the Financial Controller readily available for review by internal/external auditors.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation with all relevant back-ups attached for monthly review by the Financial Controller and annual review by internal/external auditors. Any discrepancy needs to be resolved and/or flagged to the Financial Controller.

About you
Proven experience in various accounting sections, preferably hotel experience
Experience in fully self-accounting hotel environment
Good working knowledge of and experience with accounting, purchasing and front office software is required (preferably Sun Systems 5, Vision, Adaco.net, Micros and Opera)
Good spreadsheet and word processing skills (Intermediate Level in Excel)
Key skills
Fluent in English
Strong communication skills
Friendly, approachable, and professional
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good time management for meeting strict deadlines
