Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax compliance across the group including corporation tax, VAT and other taxes, preparing tax returns and coordinating completion of returns by other team members including quarterly payments and group schedules.
- Work with other members of the team to monitor international activity and impact on UK tax compliance, in particular CFC requirements, transfer pricing and other new regimes being introduced.
- Lead on Senior Accounting Officer and Risk Reporting, working closely with the Group Tax Director, Finance team and other Tax team members.
- Work with the Internal Audit team to design an appropriate controls testing program for taxes.
- Lead the annual year reporting process for tax, ensuring the delivery of year end tax numbers and disclosures, managing the relationship with the Finance team and the auditors.
- Prepare Tax Contribution analysis and tax sections of Audit Committee papers.
- Work with the Finance team on process improvements.
- Support the Finance Transformation project, working with the Finance and Systems teams to be the lead contact for tax, identifying requirements, key controls and other tax aspects of the new system.
