Purpose of the Role
Support the Operations team in improving financial and service performance across the London Estate by delivering high-quality data analysis, commercial insight, and process improvements.

About the Role
Grosvenor are looking for a commercially minded Commercial Data Analyst to join the Operations team on a fixed-term maternity cover. This is a hands-on role supporting the London Estate, where you will quickly become a key part of the team—providing insight, improving processes, and helping drive financial and service performance. The Operations team is accountable for managing and delivering all property management functions, and leads a complex, large-scale supply chain across the London Estate, managing key contracts with a total annual value exceeding £12m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Commercial Oversight
    • Monitor supplier spend against budgets, identifying opportunities and escalating risks
    • Manage purchase orders, payments, and contract changes accurately and efficiently
    • Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations (POs, invoices, tasks, credits, allocations)
  • Analysis & Reporting
    • Produce clear, insight-led reporting on spend, pricing, and performance
    • Support procurement and tender analysis, including pricing reviews
    • Provide data to inform service charge budgeting
    • Identify opportunities to improve cost, service quality, and efficiency
  • Process & System Management
    • Improve payment mechanisms and ensure contractual compliance
    • Support CAFM and financial system updates, testing, and data integrity
    • Upload and manage bulk data (e.g. ETL into Voyager)
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work with finance, service charge, and service partner teams to resolve queries and ensure accurate coding and recoverability
    • Act as a key liaison for commercial and reconciliation matters

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a data, financial, commercial, or performance analysis role.
  • Advanced Excel: confident with pivot tables, lookups (XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH), SUMIFS, working with large complex datasets and combining data sets from different sources.
  • Experience with managing financial reconciliations and purchase order processes (POs, invoices, tasks, credits, allocations)
  • Experience monitoring supplier spend against budgets, identifying variances, opportunities and risks.
  • Experience producing analytical reporting and commercial insight on spend, pricing, and performance for stakeholders.
  • Experience managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience working across business and finance systems (e.g. ERP, finance, and property management platforms).
  • Experience importing, cleaning, and managing large datasets into a system.

Desirable:

  • Power BI (or a comparable BI/visualisation tool) for reporting and dashboards
  • Service charge accounting knowledge
  • Experience in a property, real estate or facilities management environment
