Responsible for coordinating compliance and maintenance activities across construction and facilities operations, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. Maintains accurate and up-to-date compliance records, monitors certification and inspection schedules, and liaises with contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance obligations are completed on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Issuing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Raising and coordinating reactive maintenance work orders as they arise.
  • Tracking progress through to completion and ensuring all supporting documentation is recorded and filed correctly.
  • Monitoring service delivery, escalating overdue actions, producing compliance reports, and supporting the efficient management of building assets to maintain safe and compliant environments.

Location: Woodsmith Underground Mine, Sneaton, Whitby YO22 5JE

Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 on site. You will be required to travel to and from site using the Park & Ride service. The bus departs from the Park & Ride at 07:30 and leaves site at 16:05.

About You:

  • Previous experience within construction, facilities management, utilities or a similar environment.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities, contractors or project support functions.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, inspections and certification processes.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, permits to work and safe systems of work.
  • Experience maintaining accurate documentation, records and audit trails.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using maintenance management, compliance or project management software.
  • Knowledge of procurement, budgeting or contract administration would be advantageous.
