About the Role
In this role, you'll help deliver high-performance metalising equipment to emerging markets around the world - managing complex engineering projects, building strong customer relationships, and driving successful outcomes from order to installation. What You'll Do
As a Customer Projects Engineer, you'll be the bridge between our internal teams and international customers - managing complex engineering projects from order confirmation through to installation and commissioning. You'll ensure smooth communication, technical coordination, and customer satisfaction across multiple projects.
- Coordinate project timelines and specifications - Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Production to define project requirements and ensure delivery schedules are aligned across teams and with customer expectations.
- Maintain strong customer relationships - As the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, building trust through clear communication, responsiveness, and proactive updates.
- Monitor machine build and installation progress - Conduct regular shop floor inspections and track milestones to ensure the equipment is built and installed according to plan, resolving any discrepancies swiftly.
- Resolve technical issues and support acceptance visits - Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot engineering or supplier challenges and assist with logistics and customer interactions during acceptance testing and virtual meetings.
- Track post-installation snag lists and warranty transitions - Follow up on outstanding issues after commissioning, ensure Field Modification Orders are completed, and maintain communication until the warranty phase is handed over to after-sales.
- Identify up-sell opportunities and contribute to process improvement - Spot potential for additional equipment or services beyond the original scope and share insights to help standardise best practices and improve future project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in customer-facing and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- SAP experience.
- Fluency in Italian or German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
