About the role
Groove Pillows is a double-digit ecommerce scale-up, improving the sleep and overall wellness of hundreds of thousands of customers across the UK and US. We are looking for a Product Marketing Specialist on a mid-term freelance contract basis. You’ll deliver a series of ecommerce optimisation projects that improve flow and coherence through the funnel, turning more visitors into buyers and increasing what each customer spends.
You will work across our D2C Shopify stores (UK and US) suggesting and implementing the latest on-site best practice, optimising funnels, briefing design and launching a CRO program that drives conversion and AOV.
Projects & Responsibilities
We have a clear roadmap of site upgrade projects, all of which have a combination of structural, design, brand or CRO elements. You’ll be a key stakeholder in each project, with the support of technical, marketing and branding/product colleagues to deliver a coherent customer-first outcome. This includes product and category landing page upgrades, homepage strategy, cart & upsell review and contributing to a CVR friendly general design facelift.
With this new, stronger foundational website as a springboard, we expect the contract to move from general optimisation to a Growth & CRO approach - implementing testing tools, framework and reporting, and custom landing page marketing projects.
Your Skillset & Experience
- At least 2 years experience in page conversion optimisation for UK retail ecommerce brands
- Knowledge of Shopify Store pages and structure
- On the pulse of 2026 ecommerce funnel best practice
- Natural eye for conversion-optimal design, translating to high-quality design briefs
- Strong analytics experience - in both platforms and approach to project delivery
- Experience collaborating with designers, marketing, development and senior sign-off stakeholders
- Knowledge and exposure to CRO platforms and testing frameworks
- Methodical and structured working style
Contract Specifics
- Length: Initial 12 weeks, with option to extend
- Hours: 80 per month, flexible across office hours + evenings/weekends
- Reporting to: Managing Director
