Groove Pillows is looking for a freelance Community & Content Lead to join our marketing team on a remote, part-time contract. We’re a small but mighty retail ecommerce business, #1 in our market and with consistent year on year growth. We have big plans for 2026 and beyond.

We’re looking for support with a blend of social engagement and content management projects, increasing the Groove digital footprint and continually fuelling our asset bank with visual content. On the social side, the role focuses on social listening, community conversation and broader industry engagement.

  • Social engagement and listening: Participate in conversations and communities where Groove customers are active, sharing knowledge, empathy and awareness.
  • Content management: Seek, brief and manage a select group of content creators, obtaining static and video assets for use across ecommerce and marketing.
  • Light asset creation: Use Canva to re-purpose, improve or create new visual assets for the site and channels.
  • Support the ecommerce team: Regular survey creation, capturing key headlines and creating a bank of data insights and infographics for our Resource Hub and PR relationship.
  • Asset Management System: Own and overhaul our existing Asset Management System.

Necessary Experience:

  • 3 years digital marketing experience, specifically on the community and content side of the role.
  • UK retail ecommerce exposure in a digital marketing team is essential.
  • Creative background, including varied Canva / Photoshop skills.
  • Organic social media experience across both Meta and other forums, specifically in community engagement.
  • Confidence and proven ability with light social conversation and content writing.
  • Experience with AI Asset Creation is a strong plus.

The role terms:

  • 10 hours per week, flexible across 7 days.
  • Initial contract of 12 weeks.
  • Start date of 1st December.

If you can demonstrate:

  • Proven and documented experience with social listening and deep community engagement.
  • Strong in-house retail ecommerce experience.
  • Experience in creating assets in Canva for retail ecommerce.
