Club Manager - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Job Type: Full Time - Permanent We're not building a padel club. We're building THE club. Groove Padel is opening in November 2026 as one of the largest dedicated padel destinations in the region – but we're not just courts. We're a modern leisure club built around play, community and dwell: somewhere you come to play padel and stay for coffee, relax or work. Club, Not Courts. That's the whole idea. And we need a Club Manager who can bring it to life from day one. The Role As Club Manager, you'll take full operational and commercial responsibility for Groove Padel – from pre-opening setup through to running the club day to day. You'll lead a multi-disciplinary team across courts, coaching, bar & café and pro shop, own the P&L, and shape a member experience that keeps people coming back more often and staying longer. This is a rare chance to build the culture and commercial success of a flagship destination from the ground up. What You'll Be Doing Running the day-to-day operation of our 12 padel courts, 3 pickleball courts, licensed bar & café, co-working space and pro shop Recruiting, training and leading a high-performing team, building a culture aligned to the Groove brand Owning the P&L – budgets, revenue growth, membership targets and commercial opportunities (corporate events, leagues, tournaments, coaching) Championing the customer journey end to end, so every visit feels effortless, considered and unmistakably Groove Building Groove's presence in the local community and developing our marketing and events programme Overseeing the coaching programme and player pathways for all ages and abilities What We're Looking For 3–5 years' experience managing a sports, leisure or hospitality venue A proven track record owning budgets and P&L, and leading teams across multiple departments Experience in a customer-facing, membership-based environment Strong commercial acumen, with the energy and organisation to run a fast-paced, multi-faceted site An entrepreneurial, hands-on leader with a genuine passion for sport, community and hospitality Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially through pre-opening and launch Padel, tennis or racket sports experience, a personal licence, and experience opening a new venue are all a bonus – but your leadership and commercial track record matter most.
