We are a well-established, family-run garage based in Newtown, with a large and loyal customer base. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy and professional team. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to advance their career in automotive technology while delivering high-quality service in a professional setting.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles (Car, HGV & PSV).
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
  • Managing workload effectively in a busy workshop.
  • Having strong knowledge of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive components.
  • Good understanding of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic.
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics (or equivalent).
  • Willingness to train in other areas of work including MOT testing.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm.
  • Every other Saturday: 8:30am – 12:00 noon.
  • Occasional overtime will be required to support busy periods.

Benefits:

  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Pay: From £18.00 per hour.
  • Expected hours: 40 – 43.5 per week.
