Are you an experienced Technical Support Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in Cannock? Our client, a leading player in their industry, is seeking a dedicated professional to provide both technical and commercial support to internal and external customers. This role involves guiding product specifications, solving technical issues, and creating CAD drawings, all while ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Annual salary of £37,000 - £40,000. Opportunity to work for a stable and growing business. Additional holiday (33 days), pension scheme, free car parking, 37 hour week (Monday - Friday). Please note this is not an IT based position.

The Role:

  • Prepare tool drawings using CAD software for CNC cutting and press knives
  • Interpret and create technical drawings with precision
  • Provide site support to contractors and customers as needed
  • Investigate and report customer complaints, agreeing on corrective actions
  • Assist the Technical Manager with daily operations and complex technical enquiries
  • Lead research and development projects, including testing and product trials
  • Support the Technical Department with various tasks, including customer communication and trade exhibitions

The Candidate:

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Solidworks
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings
  • Strong team ethic and motivation
