Groomfield Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join one of our well established clients based in Tamworth B79. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with valid forklift licences who is looking for stable, long-term employment within a supportive and professional working environment. The successful candidate will be confident operating a Counterbalance truck, assisting with warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Location: Tamworth B79
Pay Rate: £13.00 to £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: 12-week temporary contract with the opportunity to secure a permanent position
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
- No weekend work
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Counterbalance
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently
- Move, store, and organise stock within the warehouse
- Carry out stock handling and inventory-related tasks
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
- Conduct occasional van driving duties
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
