Our established client is seeking an experienced Purchasing and Scheduling Manager to take ownership of purchasing operations, inventory control, and production scheduling within a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring materials are available to support production through effective supplier management, stock control, and scheduling processes.
Key Responsibilities- Place routine purchase orders driven by demand, utilising:
- Approximately 95% Kanban-based purchasing
- Approximately 5% MRP scheduling for long lead-time items
- Proven experience in a similar purchasing, buying, or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated track record in inventory control and supplier management.
- Strong working knowledge of Kanban systems and MRP scheduling.
- Experience managing stock takes and cyclic counting procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing people and taking ownership of operational areas.
