We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing high-performance respiratory protection equipment (RPE) and personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to protect personnel in hazardous environments. This role involves operating large-scale industrial machinery in line with defined operating procedures and production schedules while working as part of a small, supportive team. Safety, quality, and reliability are key priorities in this position.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production machinery to manufacture components in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Set up machines, load raw materials, operate equipment, and unload finished products.
- Follow production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor product quality and take responsibility for own output.
- Identify basic machine or process issues and escalate where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Work effectively as part of a production team under moderate supervision.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude and manual handling ability.
- Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills desirable.
- FLT licence advantageous for applicable roles.
- Flexible and willing to work different shift patterns when required.
