The predicted salary is between 11 - 14 £ per hour.

Location: Skelmersdale

Pay Rate: £12.96 per hour

Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 7.50am - 4.45pm, Friday 7.50am - 12.10pm.

Benefits: 33 days annual leave after 12 weeks, pension, free car parking, the opportunity to work for a global company.

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing high-performance respiratory protection equipment (RPE) and personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to protect personnel in hazardous environments. This role involves operating large-scale industrial machinery in line with defined operating procedures and production schedules while working as part of a small, supportive team. Safety, quality, and reliability are key priorities in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery to manufacture components in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Set up machines, load raw materials, operate equipment, and unload finished products.
  • Follow production schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor product quality and take responsibility for own output.
  • Identify basic machine or process issues and escalate where required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
  • Work effectively as part of a production team under moderate supervision.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and manual handling ability.
  • Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills desirable.
  • FLT licence advantageous for applicable roles.
  • Flexible and willing to work different shift patterns when required.
