Role Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a busy manufacturing environment in Tamworth. This is a hands-on purchasing role suited to someone with previous experience managing raw materials, consumables, stock levels and supplier relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring materials are available to meet production demand, while maintaining appropriate stock levels, controlling costs and building strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage raw materials and consumable inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained to meet production requirements.
- Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring materials are available without creating unnecessary surplus.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates and lead times.
- Maintain replenishment parameters, lead times, supplier accounts and pricing within the company computer system.
- Monitor goods-in and resolve any delivery or supplier issues.
