Job Description: Groomfield Recruitment are looking for 5 Machine Operatives for their client based in B79 TAMWORTH. This is a temporary to permanent placement over a full 12 weeks being worked. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 0600-1400 rotating with 1400-2200 Rates of Pay: Between £14.00 - £20.00 depending on which machines you are working on and experience held. Duties of Machine Operative Role: Operate machinery Loading and unloading of machine safely and using manual and lifting machinery Set up and adjust machinery using tools, tooling, and some software to meet specifications of each job Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organizing stock within the warehouse or production area Assist with assembly tasks Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage machine functions and troubleshoot issues proactively Follow detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety protocols during all operations Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing setting is essential Strong mechanical knowledge Ability to operate and set machinery, hand tools, power tools, and materials handling equipment safely and effectively Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks Knowledge of tooling setup, materials handling procedures, and materials properties Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management practices is a plus Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your skills make a tangible impact!
