Job Description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Bangor
Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour (£13.41 per hour with valid FLT licence)
Shift Pattern: Converting shift pattern 8-hour rotating shifts (Days & Evenings), Monday to Friday.

Benefits: 33 days annual leave after 12 weeks, pension, free car parking, the opportunity to work for a global company.

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing high-quality adhesive-coated tapes for automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications. This role involves operating large-scale industrial machinery in line with defined operating procedures and production schedules while working as part of a small, supportive team.

Safety, quality, and reliability are key priorities in this position.

Key Responsibilities as a Machine Operator:

  • Operate large-scale production machinery in accordance with written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Set up machines, load raw materials, operate equipment, and unload finished products.
  • Follow daily production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
  • Monitor product quality and take responsibility for ensuring standards are met.
  • Identify basic machine or process issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Carry out basic data entry and use computer systems where required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment always.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

  • Previous experience operating production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence is highly desirable (higher pay rate applies).
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills preferred.
  • Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and positive attitude toward shift work and team responsibilities.
