Groomfield Recruitment are seeking a General Operative / Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established client based in Lichfield WS13. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing and successful business with long-term prospects.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour (£28,000) rising to £14.43 per hour (£30,000) upon securing a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking orders accurately using picking lists
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move stock as required
- Packing orders for both parcel and pallet distribution
- Assisting with pipe cutting operations
- Unloading deliveries and organising stock into designated bins
- Receiving goods from carriers and labelling for customers
- Supporting customer collections
- Communicating effectively with office staff regarding orders
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a general operative or labouring role
- Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
- Valid external Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential)
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
